Year 8 – 400,000,000 emails
The challenges continue in our activity, and 2011 brings us to an important milestone: 400,000,000 emails sent. What does this mean? Very high sending volumes, and this means a serious challenge for the servers.
As volumes increase, the need to send emails faster and store a larger volume of data arises. Increasing volume has always meant upgrades and changes in terms of technology. This is because "one of the most frequent questions we hear is 'how long does it take to send a campaign'". We also have volume due to the fact that we are starting to expand communications outside the country after TNT starts communicating through our services in all countries in Eastern Europe.
We are working on as many fronts as possible and we are offering our clients new products that they are very excited about. Google Analytics is increasingly used, and to make the attribution of conversions from emails clearer, we are integrating it into our application. This way we are able to target based on order attributions. In fact, the first acquisition profiles are based on the attribution of orders made by Google.
Also in 2011, we are increasingly encountering the term Landing Page, so we are introducing the option to manage personalized ones. The goal: to extend the personalized experience from email to secondary pages, which can be automatically personalized based on the data we know about a user.
We are in a situation where we expect a greater influence of automation. We talk about it in all the presentations at the moment, but the market is still moving quite slowly so we still had to wait for adoption and implementation. I wrote about how things evolved in the following articles.
