White Image team offers marketers, designers and those who are interested in email marketing, the latest study about the email clients situation in Romania – Inbox Review 2010.
250,038 unique email addresses were analyzed, out of which 246,299 are subscribers to B2C newsletters and 3.739 are subscribers to B2B newsletters. The monitored period was between December 2009 and February 2010.
Compared with the study conducted in 2008, there are few changes noticed. More specifically, the B2B segment leader is not Yahoo! Mail, but Outlook. Approximately 50% of the B2B subscribers have used email office addresses or email services that allow POP3 or IMAP, Outlook respectively, while Yahoo! Mail has registered a 22% share, down. However, in the B2C sector, users preferred to subscribe to newsletters with personal addresses, about 69% of all subscribers to this type of communication using Yahoo! Mail, Outlook followed with 12.07%.
Outlook is still the most widely used also in terms of desktop email clients, both in B2C and B2B communication, being used by approximately 90% of those using desktop email.
Inbox Review 2010 offers several key recommendations regarding the design of newsletters so that they can be viewed properly by subscribers.
