| Launching a new solution - "Priorities matter" |

This article is NOT about a time management course! It’s just about more. Time. And us.
Try to answer the question "Do you feel you have enough time to think?" with either a) YES or b) NO.
When I say TIME, I’m not only thinking about the literal aspect - minutes, hours, days - but also about ENERGY, COMMITMENT. Ingredients which, apparently, are harder and harder to find and therefore - through correlation - more sought after in the world around us.
This kind of interest has also appeared in the universe of corporations, both from managers and from simple employees. Moreover, expressions such as "Darling, when are we going to think about us?" are becoming less like American sitcom clichés and more like daily realities that we don’t want to remember.
And you know what’s even more interesting?
Up until now managers were the ones looking fiercely for ways of improving efficiency and productivity in their employees but nowadays the situation has changed dramatically!
I’m dealing more and more with situations where employees are looking for miraculous solutions in order to educate management in the ways of efficiency, delegation and leadership.
Employees want to educate managers? Yes. Or, in other words, they want managers that have the time, energy and commitment to also think about them. Managers that empathize.
People look for relationships that give them satisfaction. People stay in relationships that satisfy them.
My philosophy: there are three of us in a couple - you, me and our relationship.
Therefore the effort required in a relationship as opposed to being single isn’t double - it’s triple!
This means that once you start a relationship you’ll have to give three times as more in the same amount of time. Or split it by three. You can choose either of the two perspectives, depends on which you find suitable for you, as long as you understand it.
• I, the manager. I have my own target, projects and pressures.
• You, the employee. You have your own target, projects and pressures.
• The relationship. Our targets, our projects, our pressures.
Let’s not forget! We also have a family, kids, friends, needs and personal desires.
What do we do?
In my opinion a healthy relationship is based on a few general rules. Both have a clear understanding of what they want in life (Very important!). Both are aware of the other one’s purpose in life (Equally important!). Both know what they want as a couple (Most important!).
Each one takes time for himself, for his priorities (Common sense!). Each one respects this, and also, offers support (Hmm...sounds like a relationship!).
Both allocate time and energy for projects they have in common - some call it compromise, some mutual agreement.
Everybody is happy! Period.
Priorities and time, that’s what’s important.
Thus the title of a new course -Time Management is not even the half of it - Priorities Matter!
