The second part of Nextep started this May. The functional level began with the Key Financial Abilities module.
The group of young managers were very pleased about the quality of the trainings, the functional level being complex while at the same time easy to understand. We competed against each other, in a fictitious country, as distinct corporations that are interlinked. We conducted business and strived to achieve profit based on key financial indicators while simultaneously understanding our mini-corporations.
At the end we interpreted the financial situations of some of the companies in order to fully comprehend what lies behind seemingly unimportant figures.
The accounting and financial concepts were never as easy to understand as they were in the Key Financial Abilities course! It was the perfect mix of theory and practice with enough room for interpretations and questions.
After exercises and competitions, we discovered that we liked financial indicators and that they were very useful in the day to day running of business. The first module gave us only a taste of what’s to come.
On the 20th of May we’ll be meeting in an informal surrounding for a "Debate night".
